Environmental Impact Quotient (EIQ)

Output: Press calculate

Formula: EIQ = toxicity × exposure × risk

The Environmental Impact Quotient (EIQ) is a formula used to assess the potential environmental impact of pesticides. The EIQ calculation takes into account three factors: toxicity, which refers to the potential harm a substance can cause; exposure, the level of contact with the substance; and risk, the likelihood of the substance to cause damage under ordinary or foreseeable conditions. Typically, the higher the EIQ value, the greater the potential environmental impact. The EIQ is an important tool used by growers, environmental scientists, and policymakers to make informed decisions about pesticide usage.
